    Sound:
This microphone sounds excellent! It is very clear, transparent & sounds amazingly full. I’ve used it on percussion mostly but also in front of ele. lead guitar amps & it sounded better than a Shure SM57 by a good margin.

    Sensitivity:
It can be overdriven by bass heavy sources in confined spaces. Also this has a high output so easily overdrives the input on the bodypack of the W-1KU wireless systems even when padded all of the way at -30db. However, it works fine with the likes of the WS-16U since which use potentiometers to lower the input volume all the way to nothing so is easily sufficient.

    Only complaint:
In the mini-XLR to XLR adapter version, it does not come with a longer, at least 6′, cord. At present I find the cord is not long enough to allow the heavy adapter to reach the floor when I clip these on congas, etc. that are played when standing. To protect the mic.’s connections & small cable from the weight I have to tie up my XLR cables closer to the mic.’s clip location on the instruments so the weight hangs on the XLR cable & not on the mic. This never looks good, but does protect the mic.

The cord length on the 9-52V phantom power version is the only reason I don’t rate this 5 STAR.
