I had my doubt’s about buying this mike. I do a retro 50’s show and I needed this type of mike, It really sounds fat and full for older type crooning that I do.So if if you know what I’m talking about, get this mic!It works great. It’s sturdy heavy and road worthy.

I’m using this mic to busk on a vintage blues/trad jazz and swing set with a 5 watt battery powered, Vox amp. The sound, look and feel is great. I’ve had no issues with reliability. It’s been a great complement to the music and the vintage archtops I play. I’ve had no issues with weird feedback or sounds from it.

I have a similar Shure vintage mic- the sound of the vintage mic is better, but not by much, and this is an excellent and affordable substitute for someone wanting a vintage mic. I like using it when I don’t want to risk my vintage Shure mic, it seems very durable and has held up well to heavy use.

The finish is more of a matte, powder-coated steel than a glossy chrome.

I would absolutely buy it again.

This is not the vintage Shure classic upon which it is based, but it is a close relation. It sounds good, it is ruggedly built and it more than handles the vocal duties to which it is assigned. I’m not sure if I would use this in pro applications, but in the small club environment, it does just fine.

The Mic is wonderful if your looking for great sound and a vintage look this offers both at a nice price.

Arrived on time and in perfect condition, each in their own protected case. We hosted a Murder, Music, Mayhem mystery dinner theater at our Performing Arts Center. Our play took place in the past so we needed to try for a ‘retro’ effect as much as possible with set, costumes, etc. We looked a lot for some kind of microphone that would work for these singers. Lots of the other items we reviewed were poorly made and looked fake. These were fantastic, worked well, and looked authentic.

This microphone is solidly built out of metal and plastic. It may not compare with similar mics from Shure, but the price is also $100.00 less. I have been overly pleased with the build quality, the look and the sound quality of this mic by Nady. It really has the old vintage look but it’s certainly not just a novelty item. I use it with a Tascam 4 track recorder and use it for plugged directly into my Canon T3i using a microphone preamp. Excellent results both ways. Definitely would recommend for home studio/amateur use.
