How do I service defective Nady product under warranty?
Contact the Nady Service Department to determine if the unit is
being properly operated and is truly defective. If so, and the unit
has not been used, is like new, and you still have all the original
packaging in good condition, it might be possible to return the
unit for an exchange if your dealer has additonal stock of this
unit and such an exchange is allowed under their policy. If the
defective unit does not meet the above criteria, and/or your dealer
will not take it back for any reason, and it is still under factory
warranty, you can send your unit to Nady systems for warranty repair
or exchange, following these important steps:
-
Call
our Customer Service Representative and get a Return Authorization
(RA) number. We do not accept any returned items without a Return
Authorization number, so it is very important to complete this
first step.
-
Once
you have that number, carefully package and send your Nady product
to our Customer Service center at the address listed above.
Make sure and identify your item with the RA number clearly
written on the exterior of the box.
-
Include
a copy of your original sales receipt with your Nady product,
indicating the original date of purchase. This is essential
to verifying that the unit received is within the warranty time
limit for that product. Units received without the orginal sales
receipt are not eligible for warranty repair and you will be
notified of the charge for repairing/replacing your unit before
any work is performed.
-
Keep
a copy of your RA number for reference.
- Nady
Systems Customer Service staff makes every effort to process your
equipment as quickly as possible.
Can
I return my Nady product for cash?
No, we are not able to return merchandise for cash. Return your
Nady product to the dealer from which it was originally purchased
for cash or credit.
How can I get an owners manual for my Nady product?
Manuals for current Nady products are available to download from
the Internet on our website at
www.nady.com/manualspdf_pg.html.
How can I get a schematic of your products?
Schematics are proprietary information and are not available to
the general public.
Can I send my system back to you for repair even if it is
out of warranty?
Yes. Similar to returning a warranteed item, contact our Customer
Service representatives for a Return Authorization number. Our representative
can also give you the charges (for repair and return shipping) involved
in repairing your system. Remember to keep a copy of the RA number
for your records.
Can I buy an entire system direct from Nady Systems?
No, we are a manufacturer, not a direct retailer and so do not conduct
direct sales. Our Sales representatives would be happy to direct
you to an authorized dealer in your area.
How long does it take to get my system repaired?
Our standard is a 3-4 week turnaround from the time we receive the
product until it is shipped back to you. If you wish to check on
the status of your repair, call our Customer Service Center or email
service@nady.com.
What are the discontinued units?
Any models Nady has not supplied to dealers for at least 1 year
is considered a discontinued model, although it may still be available
in limited quantities as such on the special Nady closeout/clearance
site www.nadypro.com .
Nady generally can service a unit for up to three years after it
has been discontinued, although this may vary from model to model.
Check with the Nady Customer Service Center for information regarding
whether your unit has been discontinued and if servicing is still
available.
What is Channel A, Channel B, Channel H, etc.?
The term Channel refers to the radio frequency at which the system
transmits. See a reference chart of the specific frequency ranges
on our website.
What is interference and how does it affect my system?
Interference in your wireless system indicates that radio waves
of the same or close frequency are being picked-up by your receiver
and are "interfering" with the clear reception of signal
within your wireless system. If you are experiencing interference
in your system here are 4 troubleshooting suggestions; (1) adjust
the "mute control" on your system following the steps
in the owner's manual, (2) switch frequencies on your unit if it
is a frequency agile UHF system, (3) move your equipment away from
the interfering transmission, and (4) switch to a wired microphone
temporarily until the source of the interference is identified and
alternate channels are found.
How do I determine what power amplifier I should use with my Nady
Speaker?
Usually our power amplifiers are rated in RMS power and our speakers
are rated in PEAK power. To determine the correct amplifier to speaker
ratio, divide PEAK power by 2; in other words, RMS power is half
PEAK power. For example, the Nady PFW 12 speaker is rated 400W PEAK
and it would work well with a power amplifier rated at 200W RMS.
When selecting speakers, choose a speaker whose peak power rating
is twice the value of the RMS amplifier rating. Giving this ratio
careful attention and choosing compatible amplification for your
speakers is important to avoid over-powering or "blowing out"
your speakers. |
