John Nady develops Nasty Cordless prototype for world’s first wireless plug-in guitar transmitter.
1976 NASTY CORDLESS, INC IS BORNThe company takes off as Nasty Cordless, developing and marketing the first wireless systems under the Nasty Cordless logo (look carefully and you can see John himself strumming away in full ‘70’s regalia!).
1977THE STARS COME OUT FOR NADYNasty Cordless became an instant hit and collected high-profile testimonials from users such as Aerosmith, Van Halen, Styx, Neil Young and a long list of other top bands.
1978NASTY CORDLESS MORPHS INTO NADY SYSTEMS, INCAs the company began to spread its wings and receive worldwide recognition for its revolutionary wireless technology, “Nasty Cordless” was soon replaced with “Nady Systems”.
1979NADY INTRODUCES FIRST WIRELESS HANDHELD MICOn the heels of Nady’s groundbreaking wireless guitar system, the first wireless handheld microphone transmitter with internal hidden antenna was introduced.
1981MICK JAGGER ON THE COVER OF TIME MAGAZINE WITH HIS NADY MICMick Jagger takes his Nady wireless on the road. The Stones use a complete wireless stage setup of 12 simultaneous channels encompassing all mics and instruments for the first time in touring history.
1982NADY SHIFTS PRODUCTION TO CHINANady became the first American Pro Audio/MI company to shift its production to Hong Kong and China, resulting in increased affordability.
1983NADY EXPANDS TO INCLUDE TELEPHONE AND MOTORCYCLE ELECTRONIC ACCESSORIESNady introduces telephone headsets and motorcycle electronic accessories to auxiliary markets: intercom, bike-to-bike communicators and alarms.
1983NADY INCLUDED in INC 500 LISTNady was included in INC Magazine’s Top 500--#23 of America’s 500 fastest growing private companies.
1984FIRST WIRELESS HEAD MIC INTRODUCEDNady introduces the HM-1 Headmic, the world’s first ultra-light wireless headmic designed for professional stage performances.
1986NADY IS THE #1 WIRELESS CHOICEBy 1986, 85% of Billboard’s Top 100 Acts were using Nady wireless systems. Clearly wireless had come of age and Nady was leading the charge.
1986FIRST WIRELESS GUITAR WITH BUILT-IN WIRELESSNady introduces the Lightning and Thunder wireless guitar and bass with the world’s first built-in transmitter.
1987FIRST PRO WIRELESS UNDER $200Nady introduces the revolutionary 101/201 systems—the first pro wireless under $200—resulting in more than 50% of all brand sales worldwide. Wireless was no longer just for the pros…it was virtually available to everyone for every conceivable application.
1991FIRST UHF PLL FREQUENCY AGILE WIRELESSNady introduces the UHF-950, the world’s first UHF PLL frequency agile wireless.
1996NADY RECEIVES EMMY AWARDNady receives a prestigious Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for “Outstanding Technical Achievement in Pioneering Wireless Microphone Technology.”
1999NADY EXPANDS PRODUCT LINENady expands its product line to include a broad range of affordable pro audio gear for live performance and studio use.
2001FIRST TO INTRODUCE AFFORDABLE STUDIO CONDENSER MICS AND RACK GEARNady is first to introduce studio condenser mics and rack gear priced below $100.
2004FIRST TO INTRODUCE AFFORDABLE STUDIO RIBBON MICSNady introduces the first affordable studio ribbon mics and sets trend for the entire market.

2012NADY WIRELESS FEATURED IN “ROCK OF AGES”“Rock of Ages”, the Warner Brothers/New Line musical extravaganza starring Tom Cruise featured Nady wireless throughout the film . Nady was contacted by Warner Bros requesting “authentic” wireless of the period (‘80’s L.A. rock scene)…they apparently did their homework and wanted to make sure they had the real deal!
2013NADY PARTNERS WITH REALTA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP IN DEVELOPMENT OF MUSIC VIDEO GAMENady helped develop all of the hardware accessories for the groundbreaking music video game, BandFuse: Rock Legends, and also was the exclusive distributor for the game in the MI/Pro Audio market.
